Green Mountain Collection

Born out of a passion for the natural world and sharing our historic property and environment with others, our trails focus on luxury, comfort, good food, quality Overberg wines, and escaping the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We have created several products centred around responsible tourism, with a focus on basking in what the natural environment has to offer whilst ensuring sustainability, community collaboration, and respecting, protecting and promoting biodiversity.

Inspired by Dr Paul Clüver, we launched our multiday slackpacking Green Mountain Trail in 2007. The route has evolved over the years and meanders across the Groenlandberg, hence the name.

While our four-day Green Mountain Trail is usually the first choice for hikers, we also have two- and three-day trail options in our collection.

When choosing a trail to best suit you, these are some of the criteria worth considering:

• Range of kilometres you wish to walk
• Number of days you have available
• Your particular points of interest be they bird watching, leopard tracking, cape floral kingdom, farming, vineyards or a simply strong cardio.

Our trails include a maximum of ten hikers. This keeps our engagement personal and enables us to cater to your special needs.

Trails are guided by two experienced, passionate, and extremely knowledgeable guides. This allows you to set your own pace, be it fast, moderate, or slower, allocating time for contemplation and photographs.

The Green Mountain collection includes three trail options:

• The four-day Green Mountain Trail (55km)
• The three-day Blue Mountain Trail (45km)
• The two-day Weekend Walking Trail (23km)

The Green Mountain Trail collection includes a fully catered luxury slackpacking experience. All you need to bring is your happy self, good walking shoes and a small day pack to carry delicious food prepared by us.
