The house also served as Alison’s own self-catering family holiday home for many years. Offering direct beachfront access to the Langebaan lagoon, Langebaan Beach Cottage is set among mature olive trees, offering shade and secluding the house from the west coast winds. Langebaan Beach Cottage is a short strolling distance away from the popular Langebaan restaurant Pearly’s, which Alison fondly remembers from her youth as being an ice-cream parlor called “Franel’s Tea Room”. It is a simple and uncluttered self-catering family house offering a space to really unwind, with warmer nights spent outside around the stone braai place which Barry built.
